Hello folks! The Google phone app is one of the most used apps available on a large part of Android phones. Recently they added a feature that will let you know who is calling you without seeing your phone screen. This is the Caller ID Announcement, this function allows you to hear the name or number of who is calling you. Also, this new feature is very useful when you are using headphones, you can know who is calling you and answer in a faster way. This feature comes after a long wait, it was leaked on September 20, 2020. But it is now available globally for all Android devices. In this post, we will show you how to enable Caller ID Announcement on Android.
First step
Open the Google phone app, in case you don’t have it or you need to update it, you can do it by following the link below:

Then press the three dots in the upper right corner.

After that click on “settings“. Then click on “Caller ID Announcement“. Remember that if you don’t see this option you may need to update the app.
Fourth step
Then click on “Announce caller ID“. Select “Always” or “Only when using a headset“. Once the Caller ID Announcement is enabled, when you receive an incoming call, Google Speech Synthesis will say through the mobile speaker or headset the phrase “incoming voice call from [contact/number]” along with your ringtone. It will repeat the phrase until the phone stops ringing.
