Now, assuming we’re using a desktop computer if the mouse fails, we would be in serious trouble. With this in mind, in this post, we will see how to control the mouse using the keyboard.
Activating mouse keys on the Control Panel
The first thing we have to do is enter the control panel. With this intention, Type control in the search bar to enter the control panel.
Once there, go to Ease of Acces option.
On the next screen, select Change how your keyboard works link.
Them, choose Set up Mouse Keys
Additionally, we will enter into the Set up Mouse Keys box. First of all, we need to activate the box corresponding to Turn on Mouse Keys. In like manner, we will see other options related to the handling of the mouse with the keyboard. For example, if we want to activate the mouse keys using a combination of keys (left ALT + left SHIFT + NUM LOCK). Once activated, we have to move the mouse according to the following keys:
- Up and left: 7
- Up: 8
- Up and right: 9
- Left: 4
- Right: 6
- Down and left: 1
- Down: 2
- Down and right: 3
- Left-Click: 5
- Changing to right-click: /
- Returning to left-click: –
- Drag: 0
- Accelerating pointer movement: Hold CTRL key
- Slow down pointer movement: Hold SHIFT key.
